Does anyone know of an adapter that will allow you to use a device with a compact flash plug in an iPaq what just has SD? Would really appreciate any help!

What about the other way around? An adapter that lets me use SD cards in my CF digital camera. It has to be only the size of a CF card though, or else it won't close (it needs to close, because it is the same slot as the battery, and it has some connector there which stops it from turning on unless it is closed).

The secret to my successs? Google.com - I searched for "secure digital to compact flash adapter" (no quotes of course) and this was the first one that came up that looks like what you want. It brought up others that may be cheaper/better quality. Take a look for yourself and see what suits you best.
