Device IP address

I found the MAC address for my PPC, when I check for the IP it shows as 0.0.0.0. How can I find the correct one? I'm trying to get past my firewall and it is asking for the specific IP (McAfee)

I am assuming that you are referring to wifi.

that was weird, I just checked under the IP address again under the asset viewer and now it is filled out. I'm trying to activesync with WIFI and I was having problems with the firewall.

Make sure that you have the following TCP Ports open on your firewall so that AS will work:

990
999
5678
5679

That was my next question, thanks for saving me from posting another thread. I opened these ports, MCAfee is asking for a program name, am I suuposed to enter Activesync or does it really matter?

never mind, just entered in activesync and it works perfect. Way easier than I ever imagined. Now that I have opened the ports does that have a big impact on the security of my computer??
