death of a microdrive
Having bought a microdrive about 4 months back I was pleased with the storage 2.2gb and wasnt to worried about the power drain. Then............
It died its on its was back to be replaced and fortunatley it didnt contain any valuable data, so if anyone is using a microdrive dont store anything irriplaceable on it!

That advise applies to all storage devices.

Any idea why it died? Over usage? Faulty part?

I got me a 4gb Hitachi, hopefully it won't die... However, the Muvo2, IPod Mini both use the 4gb Hitachi so I'm not alone on this one... If these things die all of a sudden then I guess a ton of people would be pissed at their IPod mini
