I have an Ipaq 3970, it went dead a month ago. I tried to use a working battery from a similar unit, and it worked, but wont charge So I guess the battery is not defective. What could be the problem? Please help.

I am thinking of selling it to someone who buys damaged Ipaq , so i could at least get something out of it. What do you guys think?

i dont know much, but have you tested your power supply? or what ever feeds power to the unit to charge the battery?

The symptoms appear to be related to getting the battery charged and not the pda unit it self.

Good point. It could be the power supply. I would take a look at that first before selling to make sure that you do not sell it as a defect unit if you do decide to sell.

I thought it was the power supply also. Borrowed a power supply from a friend, but it wont still charge. Sorry for the late reply. But I decided to have it shipped to Singapore for repairs. Do you know of any repair shops in Singapore? HP Philippines turned me down. Ipaq.repair.uk.co is to far, shipping is to expenseive, but i guess their service charges are reasonable. Thanks guys.
