Smartphones too small? Not powerful enough? You guys probably have not seen the HTC advantage 624mhz, 5"inch screen, 8gb hardrive, 256mb rom
No, not a Smartphone Puff, that is a PDAphone or the correct term PocketPC phone.

A Smartphone is weaker & they are usually that way because they aim to be pocket-able, also they do not have a touchscreen, therefore they rely on the D-pad/Scroll-wheel or Jog-dial along with the QWERTY thumb-board.

Keep this in mind.

Smartphone (Like the Moto Q & Blackjack)
Pocket PC (also called "Standalone PDA" like the Axim X51v/ no contracts or phone)
Pocket PC Phone (much like the HTC 6800 & Advantage)

Also Stanalones PDAs are preferred in the fact that you do not have to pay a contract or worry about features getting cut off or gutted from the carrier,
they also tend to be more powerful because the aren't crammed with simple things like a camera & a phone while keeping to a reasonable size, much unlike the over packed and expensive HTC Advantage.

"New Windows Mobile Naming Conventions

With the release of Windows Mobile 6, Microsoft is doing away with the Pocket PC label and will change the way it refers to the OS/software suite and the devices that use it:

Former device name: Smartphone (no touch screen)

New Microsoft device name: Windows Mobile powered smartphone

Version of WM6 used by device: Windows Mobile 6 Standard

Former device name: Pocket PC Phone Edition

New Microsoft device name: Windows Mobile powered smartphone

Version of WM6 used by device: Windows Mobile 6 Professional

Former device name: Pocket PC (without phone)

New Microsoft device name: Windows Mobile powered PDA

Version of WM6 used by device: Windows Mobile 6 Classic"

^This would be about right for the HTC Advantage, as it replaces the PocketPC phone branding for WM6+ editions.
