This thing has 128 MB ROM and 64 MB RAM
It runs WM 5.0
It even has an integrated Sirfstar III GPS antenna.

What I can't find is whether or not the the Programs are sotred in RAM or ROM. My X51v (also WM 5.0) keeps programs in ROM so it isn't lost in case of a battery outtage.

Is ROM storage for programs indicitive of WM 5.0 or is it a device specific feature?

If programs are stored in ROM, then this would be a likely candidate for backpacking with the aid of the an Otterbox
