"I have waited and waited for the device. I have read all the superb specs that made this my next phone/PocketPC. I failed to read that this thing was gonna be spotty coverage for me in the US on Cingular's network. This is about my only dissapointment with the product and other than HTC not making this a Quad Band phone, there is nothing to do about it! The negatives in this review are no problem with me personally since I don't mind dropping more on a useful device than most spend on a laptop. The size is easy to get used to. So, if you are not in the US on a Cingular Network, don't mind dropping a grand on your converged device, and the added bulk doesn't bother you, there is nothing on this planet better suited for you! (at this time) The JasJar's 3.6 inch VGA Screen with 80 Degree swivel allowing you to use like a Mini-Laptop and Windows Mobile 5 installed put this device at the top of the charts! " -Chris

Chris- just joined this site after spending a lot of time on Aximsite and learning a lot about my x50v. Excellent work on both sites, by the way!

I was really happy to see this review, as I just bought a T-Mobile MDA Pro on ebay, which as you probably know is another version of the HTC Universal (like the JasJar). Are you familiar with this one and do you know of any differences between it and the JasJar? I'm a little concerned about your reporting of the spotty coverage with Cingular, so I hopefully will have better luck with T-Mobile's network. I love my Axim, and hopefully won't see much of a drop-off in usage of the MDA Pro as a PPC.

Thanks for providing such an awesome resource for all of us and any additional feedback you might have on my new converged device!
