Because your device likely has built-in Data Service (via cell provider), it's probably expecting your Data Service to provide Internet access. To have it forgo your cell Data Service and use your USB connection to your Home Internet access:

(Going from Memory)
Start > Settings > System > Connections > Networking > Network Settings

Is probably set to whatever option exists for your Cell Data Service, so change it to reflect "My Work Network" or "Work".

Let us know if this works!

Could you please post a screenshot of the "Settings" screen that you get out of that dialog bubble?

To enable ActiveSync 4.5's internet passthrough connection,:

Open up ActiveSync on your computer.

Select File > Connection Settings.

Select "Open ActiveSync when my device connects"

In the box under This computer is connected to:" You have three choices "Automatic", "Work Network", and "The Internet." Select the setting that best applies to your internet connection.

You may also have a firewall blocking your access to the internet. Have you checked that?

hmm. Seems strange that that option would be the cause of your problem. I'm not familiar with that option. Where did you find it? Perhaps it is an option that is unique to the ETEN?

But, glad you got it worked out!

When the pocket pc is sitting in its cradle and ActiveSync is running, can you gain access to the internet when you tap Internet Explorer on the pocket pc or does GPRS start up then too?
