Making the switch, Treo 700w to Blackberry Curve 8330

Hi All!

I have a customer that, on a whim, went out and picked up a BB8330. She's been using a Treo 700w for years now and is deciding on whether to make the transition or not. I'm setting up her Curve now and to be quite honest I don't know that much about Blackberries cause I've never been a fan. I would like some input...good, bad, or indifferent. She doesn't have much time to make the decision so I'm reaching out for answers to my faithful community. What do you guys think? Do you think she should stick with what she knows? If so, what are your recommendations on a new Windows Smartphone through Verizon? She really likes her Treo with its touch screen. Basically she's just trying this Curve to see if it's really worth making the switch. IMHO I compare the switch to going from a PC to a Mac.

She is a business professional and is looking to me for my honest professional opinion. I tried leaning her toward the iPhone but she's on Verizon's network so that's kinda out of the question.

Thanks so much in advance!

Wow, I'm really shocked. Over three thousand views and not a single response to this thread. I thought that at the very least a few people would have chimed in with some suggestions...good or bad.

Since no one has thus far bitten, I'll offer my 2 cents. We looked into providing Blackberry support on our MS network infrastructure as we've got a number of people mulling getting phones capable of connecting to our network infrastructure. The person testing her BB isn't yet in, so I'll see what she had to say about it during her test run. So far the most satisfied folks have been those few that have used Windows Mobile OSes for connecting to our SBS/MS Exchange network. One user just got a Verizon Omnia, and she's been pretty happy with her phone. I guess the BB's suitability would depend on your customer's needs and what, if any, corporate network she connects to. You might shoot Chris Leckness a PM to get his personal take, I believe his wife has used a BB Pearl, he's used WinMo phones and is currently having a fling with an iPhone.

FYI, a couple users where I work have tried the Moto Droid, and while it's a sweet phone, it's not quite ready for MS Exchange...too many problems with folder syncing currently. That may be fixed with upcoming updates, but for now, it's a real problem for them.
