I am prob just tired! but I love this PPC! Only, I have a problem!

I don't know what to do with it besides play solitare! Well, I know what I want to do with it, but can't figure out where to go aside from just fiddling with it....

My main uses are to keep track of recipes, grocery lists, appointments, homeschool hours and schedules...... plus to play music and have fun on it.

So, my first frustrations of it......

Where in the world to I close a program without saving the "fidling" I have done?!? I can't seem to find the "x" and gee, for some reason, I can't right click!

What do I need to do to check to see if my 'd-pad' is working properly? I dont' know what program to use that one for!

Just a plain old help from me! I am new to the ppc (really? couldn't tell! ) and just need some direction!

Really..... I am not looney~ I just put too many toys together today and got little time to play with mine! :D

Thank you for any help!

Jolene

To get rid of your "fidling" you may click down at the bottom on "tools" and then you'll see "delete note" or "delete task" or whatever.

To test my D-pad, I went into Excel and just boogied around there for awhile.

You may also want to try "fidling" with your "switcher bar." You find it by pushing your home button, the one with the picture of the house on it.

A lot of folks like a program called Listpro for their grocery lists and what-not listing tasks.

Hey you can also load the Casino games off the companion CD. They are kind of fun.

My two cents B)

Add Mp3's thru Windows Media Player on you desk top machine first create the playlist of songs you want on your Axim, then select Portable devices on the left side tabs and it is pretty much automatic from there while you have the axim connected to the desktop machine.

Also, Right clicking is done by "Tap and Hold" Just hold the stylus on the X and it will bring up a menu. Dont just use the stylus as a "Poker" Poking your way thru things.

Tomorrow will be more fum I'm sure.

Happy Holidays!

If you haven't done so already, get a memory storage card. I use an 128 mg SD card. Look around for sales at Comp USA , Best Buy, etc. I got mine from Staples for 49.99 after rebate. You can also use a CF memory card, but then you will not be able to use the slot for a modem, network card, micro drive, etc. You will need something like this to store MP3's, pictures or anything else that uses alot of memory.

Btw, the Axim comes with a good size User Manual that does answer most of the questions you just asked. Sometimes I think companies could save money by not printing those since it appears people don't bother to read them.

On the other hand, I do admit it is hard at first for someone new to the PPC to figure how to navigate things.
