I am loving my Axim but one of the things I wanted too do w/ it is be able to show off the latest pictures of my 4 year old :) . I have been able to put jpgs in my share folder on my desktop & move them to my axim. That works fine. What I want to do is take the pictures right off the cf that was in my camara. Is this possible? I have been unable to do this. It keeps saying - No pictures found. I know the cf drive is working. I've used it for mp3's & general storage. Why can't I use it for pics? By the way -- I'm using picture viewer & Picture perfect. I've tried 4 different cf cards. No luck. Any suggestions? Thanks!

It kind of depends on how you're looking for the images.
My experience is w/ a Nikon CP-880, and it starts a folder called DCIM, and in that folder is another called 100NIKON. In there are the images.

I've noticed that some apps will not find files that are more than a couple folders deep automatically.
What I have to do is use File Explorer on the PPC, and navigate to: My Pocket PC > CF Card > DCIM > 100Nikon > and then click on each image one at a time to open them w/ my pic viewer (Resco).
You can copy them to your My Doc folder, or wherever.
If they still won't open automatically from there, you may have to raise them up on your PC and save as .jpg or something.

The curious part is that using the "Browse CF Card" button, it says No images found. I don't know if this is a file extension issue, or a folder-too-far thing.

Somebody had helped me with this issue last week or so, here's what I remember I did:

Go into Settings on the resco program, change the folder there to \cf card (you might have to add in your Nikon sub-settings, but I have the same issue with my Kyocera photos going deep into subfolders and I didn't have to do anything but point to the CF Card in this program).

I think that's all I had to do to get it to recognize it every time. There's a general help screen in there that can help you further with that.

HTH a bit,
Donna

OK now it sees the stuff on the card, but it can't see the stuff in main memory.
Why is this so limited?
