I've read the big DELL button middle bottom is 5 function. I can get up down left right, and I assume there are some programs that respond when you press it (as a button, so to speak), but I can't find any.

ANy ideas, or is my button knackered..............??

Welcome fellow Aximite. :)

Check your settings (start-> settings) to see if your navigator button is there. If it is tap on it and check on enable "Enter" function. That should do it.
If it isn't there, w/c is almost impossible now, then you may have to download the patch. But most likely you have the Navigator Button in you settings with the newer units that Dell is sending out. :)
