Me and a fellow Axim user sat down to share files via infra-red. We were able to send contact info, small word docs fairly painlessly and quickly.

That was until I tried to send him a 3meg(or something) MP3 file. At about or 2nd or 6th pitcher of beer between us it still hadn't transfered.

I'm not expecting blazing speed, but for trivia sake - Does anyone know the through-put of the infrared port?

Non-existant for me. I can send small files like you mentioned.

Yeah don't bother with large files such as MP3's.

I can't even get it to work with a frickin' wireless keyboard with the newest Dell Infrared driver.

I may have to call Dell and get another one. I really would like to use this keyboard.
