Ms Reader

I have had this problem with Reader. I used it on a trip to Texas for my daughter and I to read books and we bookmarked three stories from the CD. After returning and before synching I tried to return to one of my stories and I got an error in Reader. I tried to uninstall it and had no luck, then when I reinstalled it I could not get it to activate. Still usable but no activation. Will this be a problem if I try to "buy" a book? Also when I installed the AO3 update I could not access my backup files, did not know to use a guest partnership. Any help would be appreciated. Either here or via email at devilsadvocate@mercercountysports.com. I cannot even get it to connect to the internet through my Axim, but I can get AvantGo to work? I guess I need tons of help here people sorry for my ignorance. Thanks very much in advance.

Not having Reader activated will definitely be a problem if you buy books. I got mine reactivated no problem after doing the A02, but I reinstalled all my software instead of restoring from backup. If you restore, the activation should be restored too, i think. Don't really know.
Did you reinstall everything manually?
To do a restore, you dock and assume a guest partnership. I believe the sequence is that after a hard reset or update to rom (which includes a hard reset) the pc actice sync will ask if you want to resume old partnership. Decline and choose guest.
From there you open Tools (on pc AS) and select Backup/Restore, Restore now.
All this process of not resuming old partnership is to avoid deleting everything from pc sync folders. All data and files will be wiped from ax after hard reset, and AS will (can) make the dupes on pc match.
As long as you have already gotten past that point, just restore now from active sync. This assumes you did a backup using pc Activesync.

Actually I do not have it on my PC I have Adobe Ebook reader there. I read somewhere on here about deleting Cookies or temp net files(I know same things). I tried it and it at least got me farther along than any other way. I now have to wait for Microsoft to get their server up and see what happens. Thanks so much for the help and I hope if anyone else has this problem we have helped them out.
