axim wont recognize HELP!!

I cannot get the axim to rec thru usb port. runnin win98se, i have shut down zonealarm runnin3.6 vers active sync is installed dl different drivers etc usb does work on puter, i have tried other devices i am usin cable not cradle any help?

You must use the Dell USB drivers found on the CDROM. There are other posts here that describe the process in detail.

You may try to reinstall USB drivers with Axim off the cradle. 1st check if you have any USB with yellow marks in devices list - go to Start/Settings/ControlPanel/System to review and remove any device with yellow "!" mark, then your Win98 SE will find a new USB device. After a couple of reboots and couple of re-installs, that usually would work. Make sure you put Axim on the cradle when the installation program from CD tells you to do that.

the axim doesnt show up in device manager
it is plugged in but nuttin
other deviceds work in that usb port so it is workin

follow anspa's advice above. Remove any indication of a device with a yellow "!". Uninstall ActiveSync, reboot and reinstall.
