Hi all. I've had several Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phones such as the I-mate PDA Phone, HP iPAQ 6315 & 6515, I-mate PDA2k and now the I-Mate K-JAM. Throughout my experience with these devices I've learnt one thing and that they are unreliable and unproductive as phones for several reasons I won't get into here.
I am considering getting a Dell Axim X51v and a regular Nokia phone with Bluetooth and EDGE and would like to know if it's possible and how easy it is to do the following:
1. Dial contacts from the Axim through the phone via bluetooth.
2. Connect to the Internet on the Axim through the phone's EDGE service via bluetooth.
3. Send SMSes from the Axim through the phone via bluetooth (not very important, just curious).
4. Do any of the above while either the Axim or the phone is connected to other bluetooth devices such as a BT headset.

You can't use a BT headset with WM5 because the current BT stack is missing the current headset profile. Hopefully, it'll be back in a ROM upgrade, but only time will tell...
On a side note, be cautious when comparing features possible with X50v's if they are still running WM2003SE. (Some have been upgraded to WM5 which would provide you with more accurate info.)
Thanks for the warm welcome Gigi, and the clarifications. I'm specifically interested in X51v or X50v running WM5 cause I'm considering buying an X51v.

I'm in Kuwait and was previously using MTC-Vodafone but have recently switched to Wataniya Telecom due to their better EDGE service.
I used to carry both a PDA & a phone a long time back with the earlier Palm & Handspring PDAs and I found that it was the best combination because each device was very good at what it did. I've tried so many converged devices (Phone PDAs) but haven't been completely satisfied with any that I've come across yet. So I might go the separate device path again ... we'll see.
