1. I only see some of my programs (one screen worth) when I click on Start - Programs. I thought that at one time I could see all my programs by doing this. Now after a soft reset I only see some of them and I only get one screen (no scrolling to other pages). Any ideas? Am I crazy?

2. When the Axim goes dormant after being left alone for awhile and the backlight goes out you can still see the screen. Can it just sit like that indefinitely without image burn problems? Does it shut itself off after a period of dormincy?

Thanks,
Thales42

1. Not sure If I can help you on that one :(

2. No, the axim does not shut down after being on for an excessive period of time but there is a small program that can be found at http://ppc4all.com/appdetail.php?id=1522 which will shut down your axim after 30 seconds of not using it.

Hope I helped.

OK I think I understand what I had been looking at. I was first looking under Start - Home which gave me a lot more icons than Start - Programs. However I am still wondering why when I go to the Programs folder through Explorer I find only two folders: Connections and Windows Media. Should't all the programs show up in the Program folder?

Many of the 'programs' you seek are in the Windows folder

For example - solitaire

Thales42,

The actual program files may be located in various folders on your Axim.

However, the shortcuts that appear on the Start-Programs screen are stored in the Windows\Start Menu\Programs folder.

Incidentally, you can add shortcuts to this folder by simply copying them from other locations into this folder. Once the shortcuts are in this folder they will appear when you tap on Start-Programs. You can even create subfolders under this folder. For example, I created a "Multimedia" subfolder that has my shortcuts for WMP, PocketMusic, etc.

Wannahave,

Here is a link for the Dell Axim User's Manual (in PDF format).

I asked the same question you did about image burn-in caused by leaving the Ax on too long, without some sort of screensaver.
