Question about turning off X51v

Could be an easy question....but how do I get my x51v to stay off when its in the cradle? I just want it to charge, not synchronize. The problem is I'll place it in the cradle (at which point ActiveSync will automatically sync) and then turn it off, leave it to charge, and I'll come back an hour later and the display has been burning for who knows how long. I've found that something turns it back on after 2-3 minutes of sitting in the cradle. Maybe its ActiveSync...I don't know. I have the newest ROM and version of AS.....

The best way I found round this is to click on the green activesync buttonon the bottom right of your PC. Go to connection setting. Untick the box that says allow USB connections. It won't update every few minutes and when you need to sync just tick the same box to allow USB connections. A bit of a pain but the best solution I have found to charging from a pc.

Disable activesync on ur pc by using ctrl alt del. The ppc will still charge without activesync.

Another way is to put the Axim in the cradle. Quickly turn off the Axim before Activesync can connect. This has worked for me. The other option is to let Activesync do its thing, then turn of both Activesync on your PC and your PPC.

Oh, and of course as a last step, turn off your PPC.

How about this question....how do I get my X51V to turn on when I press the power button and nothing happens? I wait at least a couple minutes and nothing happens BUT when I place it in the cradle, it turns on automatically. BTW, I just got this yesterday so am very green still. :)
