Hi all

Like many people, I dropped my x50 and cracked the screen (glass only - LCD is fine). Most of the solutions offered on this site are for american companies, and as I'm Australian, are no help unfortunately. Since it's still under warranty, dell is offering to replace it for $300 (AU .. not sure of the current conversion rate) which I'm not keen on considering I bought it for $550.

My question is, is there any way to change the screen resolution sizes? Because most of my screen is absolutely fine to use, it's just the bottom 1/4 that it's dodgy. Other than that I'll just have to get it fixed for wayyyy too much money or buy a new one

Try Dotpocket Lite You can switch the screens resolution. Also map the "<rotate screen>" function to a hardware button. Then u can switch from portait to landscape instanly, where dotpoctet requires a soft reset.
