Howdy,

I searched the previous posts for this question and haven't seen anything that answers it, so here goes. Does anyone know of a way to manually add words to the "Word Completion" feature that comes with PPC 2002? This would be like adding words to a custom dictionary in MS Word. It seems as though the "Word Competion" program learns words after they are used several times, but I'd like to add a bunch all at once. I tried finding the file on the Axim that contains the dictionary and haven't been able to locate it yet.

Has anyone got ideas on how to either add words manually or find the file that contains the list of words (with the hope of manually adding to it)?

Two files are used for the word completion feature. They are both in the Windows folder and are named "statdict.dat" and "dictprob.dat". These two files both appear to be compiled rather than in raw text. I do not know of a way to manually edit them or to efficiently add multiple new entries to them.

I would like to know this as well. I did a search in the Dell forum, Aximsite and then the web, but to no avail.

I'd love to know this. too. I've been typing in my friggin' last name for 20 minutes now and it still isn't bringing it up. How long does it take for it to add a word?
