I still have both around, and both suffer from the same problems. The sound chip turns off right after a song ends for a split second than turns on again, and i can hear a tweet/hiss every time! both dont have pure silence, im sure there is software that can be created to help filter it out, but I cant find any! Than theres the crackling sounds that appears randomly during playing when I use Pocket hackmaster to underclock to save power to try to match a dedicated mp3 players battery life(cant match an ipod even on 200mhz pwr save)! Any ideas anyone?
