Word/Excel on Axim

I am considering purchasing a v51. Can I use my excel spreadsheets on it? Or will they be messed up? This is a deciding factor for me. I have looked and looked and cannot find anything on how/if word/excel works.

Thanks for your help!

Yes, you can transfer your files to the axim. The pocket versions are limited in functions, but you can transfer fully functional spreadsheets.

Although i do not use spread sheets much at all, from my experiance on my axim, spreadsheets work well. I wouldn't recommend huge spreasheets, due to the size of the screen, but most appear to work well. That said, its only spreadsheets, not advanced features found in the pc version of excel

Thanks! The ones that I would be using on the Axim are very basic with no advanced functions. Just a simple attendance sheet to calculate % of attendance at meetings.

Thanks again for the quick response!!!

If you use pocket Excel and pocket word then it seems yes,
they will get messed up which I find really really annoying!

I haven't found a free solution to the Word problem yet, but
there are commecially available programs out there which claim
they are compatible. As for Excel, I use SpreadCE which is free
and seems more or less compatible without messing up your
original. I haven't tried macros yet and I don't know if they
are supported.

My initial advice would be to make a copy of the Excel or Word
file first, that way you always have a good version to get back
to whilst you are experimenting.

Hope that helps

You might take a peek-a-boo at PlanMaker.

My GF is a spreadsheet "nut." Loves the program.
