Last Night I accidently deleted my games folder. Now i know that I can always create a new folder named "Games" but how do i get the little folder with the cards on it back. The original games folder. Well thanks bye

If you have a backup, just resore it. I am betting you don't have a backup though, or you probably wouldn't be posting here. Welcome to learning to the hard way of learning to backup. I actually lost all my data before I learned. Sorry, I don't have any answer other than that though.

Create a new Games folder under \Windows\Start Menu\
That way it'll show up when you tap Start.
You can then just create shortcuts for all your games and put them in this folder.

For instance, create a shortcut for \windows\solitare.exe

I think as long as the folder is called Games and is put under \Windows\Start Menu\, the icon for the folder will have "the cards on it".

I tried a little test of moving my Games folder somewhere else and then creating a new one like/where i suggested. Sad to report that you are correct. It did not work. Attached is my original Games folder. Give it a try. Just delete the shortcuts that you dont want.

Aww thank you so much. Turns out, in that folder is a hidden file called "icon" which i believe gives the folder the card look. That file is a life savor. I dont knoe what i would have done hahah thank you

Or you could do a hard reset......but scence you got your problem fixed there would be no reason to...:D

i did the same thing, but that icon.ink file didn't work for me...what exactly did you have to do?

UPDATE: I fixed the problem! this thread has the solution that worked for me!
