:crooked: Just got 2nd Axim (this ones for ME) and have several storage cards coming but don't us eone now on the wife's Axim.
Question, if in install games into regular memory how do I move it to CF or SD card later? Wanting to keep all game and music on separate cards.

The best thing is to unistall the game, then install it on the memory card. Insert the memory card before you install the game. When you install the game, ActiveSynch asks if you want to install to the default directory. Say "No". Then you will get the option to install the game on the memory card.

This approach makes sure that registery entries and shortcuts all point to the memory card and not RAM (main memory).

is there no way to move files to storage cards? How about a aftermarket utility to handle this?

Files are no problem. You can move them to cards with any of the options available to you (File Explorer on the Axim, Explorer through ActiveSync, the Mobile Device link to your Axim from the PC's Windows, or any add-on aps).

For programs, it's a different story. Someone posted on another thread that you can do it with Resco File Explorer (payware), but I've never tried it with that program. It doesn't work with a couple of other add-on explorer programs. The original poster did say you'd need to redirect any shortcuts from the Ax's menus.

I personally think it is just as easy to remove and reinstall.

Just in case there are any who don't know about it, Active sync keeps a record of all installed applications.
With the Axim docked, open Tools > Add / Remove Programs.
To remove a program, uncheck the box for that app and click OK.
To reinstall, recheck a box and click OK. Uncheck the box for default location first if you want to move it.

This feature is also very good for hard reset recovery if your backup fails.
