Mobile Player v10.2 Problems

I am new to the Windows Mobile world, and am having some problems with Windows Media Player 10 Mobile for my Axim x51v. It seems that when I play a file, video or audio, and close the player, it contunues to play. The only way to stop it is to go into memory and close it out there, and even then I get an error message that it is not working properly. The other problem is that the player seems to think a new card is inserted every time I turn on my Axim, and asks to search for audio and video files. Not a major problem, but very annoying. Please let me know if anyone there has any ideas or has run into this, and if there is a sensible solution to both issues. Thanks in advance for your help!!

What you're describing has nothing to do with WMP itself, but the fact that tapping on the X at the top only minimizes but does not close programs. That's why lots of people use 3rd party utiltiies such as Magic Button, which is freeware.

As for your device searching for audio/video files each time you insert a memory card, that's normal. :)

Just got home from work and downloaded this, and I wonder why in the world Microsoft can't include something like this off the start. Oh well, amazing little utility to ease my frustration. Thanks again for the tip.

Magic button is a great peice of software indeed. I was going to suggest the same thing. I never got why ms laid things out different in their mobile os.
