Hi,

I have a 512MB CF card on the way. I ordered CF because my Fujifilm S602 digicam uses CF cards and so does my Axim (obviously)... but can someone tell me how I format the CF card and whether I should let the camera do it or the Ax?

I want to be able to use the card in both devices... ie: when I go travelling I want to have some space on the card for photos (say, 200MB or so) and the rest just with PPC prorgams, data, MP3's etc. Is this possible? I assume the camera will just create a folder called DCIM or something similiar and put it's images in there? When I load the CF card bacjk into the Ax should I automatically be able to see the images folder the camera creates? And what format does the CF actually need to be in?

Does anybody out there use their CF card in this way? If so, any tips or pointers for an Axim/CF card newbie would be appreciated!

For your ax you could use storage tools or flash format

I always format my card via the pc, I think its best but to choose between your ax and camera I say let your ax doe it.
