Importing COntacts?
Hello,
Can someone please help me out here? I have a motorola Razr and an Axim X51v. How can I import the 280 contacts from my cell phone onto the Axim? I have mobile Phone tools and I can export the contacts as a cvs file....but I can't figure out what the heck to do with a cvs file. When I go to import via outlook it never works right. Is there an easier way to do this without me having to add all 280 contacts manually?
Thanks for all your help and I hope I don't sound like an idiot lol.

The phone tools will import directly into Outlook for you.
Then when you sync your Axim, it will take it from Outlook.

But it doesn't. In phone tools the syncing doesn't pull my contacts. and if I click to sync contacts it does but as a .csv file. That brings me to a weird screen. Guess I really have no idea how to hande a .csv file. Have you done this?

sounds like your MPT settings aren't right.
What version of MPT? It should auto-update to 4.x.
It seems like there was a setting in there somewhere to use outlook or use MPTs built-in stuff.
I started with the axim and added the phone, so we're going in opposite direction. If I add a # to my phone, it syncs back to my outlook and eventually into my Axim. It CAN work. =)

Yes, it does.
You're using Motorola Phone Tools, correct?
You don't need a CSV at all for this.
The phone tools and ActiveSync both work directly with Outlook.
When you open Phone Tools, click the Phonebook.
Select your contacts on the phone and click the button with the arrow going from the phone to the computer.

Under Setup, there is Syncronization Settings that you can make sure Contacts source is set to Outlook if you prefer to use the sync feature.
