I am a newbie to ppc getting my axim about a month ago. My coworker has a old palm 100 series. I installed pocket mirror on a puter at work that he had palm desktop and then hooked my ax to it. I was able to move contacts over etc. My big ? now is I really like the palm desktop software that he puts his contacts in so much better than outlook :( Is there a proggie out there that i can get to install on MY home puter that will look and work like the PALM desktop? Thx in advance
Mark

Better than outlook? I doubt it. What does outlook not do that you want it to do.

Well for one thing. Outlook does not give you the opton to switch identies like Outlook Express. If Outlook did that then I would use it.

I guess you don't use Windows XP then because you can switch identities in it.

I am a former Outlook Express user. I was not happy about having to use Outlook after hearing all of the Doom & Gloom horror stories of the viruses obtained by using Outlook, not to mention I felt like Bill was forcing another one of his software products upon me. However, I must report that I am quite happy with Outlook. It seems to integrate well with other applications which utilize PI. It also seems much easier to use than Outlook Express.

Give it a try. I think you will find it to be not so bad after all. Besides, it won't be long before we all live on a concrete planet, working for Bill Gates, so you might as well get used to it!!! :P

You can use profiles on Outlook which is about the same as profiles in express. Outlook all in all is a great program and i really like it; but i REALLY liked Palm Desktop too when i had my IIIc ;)
