Active Synch and Internet access

I heard that Active Synch 3.7 supports Internet access for Internet Explorer.

I don't have a wireless card in my Axim, but have access to the Internet through a LAN connection on the PC I'm connected to.

Should I be able to browse the Internet live while my Axim is in the cradle. If yes, what are the settings in Pocket IE. When I go into Settings, all I see are modem options.

I just installed ActiveSync (3.5 and now 3.7), put my Ax in the cradel and that was all there was to it. No special settings. You may have an issue if you have a firewall (I have ZoneAlarm Pro) but that is only a minor, temporary issue.

I completely gave up on avantgo. Over the last few years, I've had 5 palm os pda's and the axim is my third pocket pc. I have never had as many problems with avantgo as I'm having now. I have used 3.5, 3.6, and now 3.7, and avantgo stops syncing and active sync disconnects my pda nearly every time. I love the axim, but don't use avantgo or Internet Explorer any more.
