Convince me!

I'm a 19-year old student from Sweden who will start college this fall. I'll hopefully be a civil engineer specialized in information technology (programming mostly) when I'm done. I've been looking at PDAs for some time and when I saw the price of the Axim I finally saw a chance for someone like me (limited funds) to own one. I can see many uses for an Axim, but I want you to try to convince me to get one. In what ways would it make life easier for me as a student?

As an information systems student myself, I use my Axim EVERY day. Of course the biggest thing is that it helps to organize your schedule every day, allowing you to set reminders when you need them as well. Also, it REALLY helps organize any big projects (especially group projects) that you may be working on. If I have to give a presentation, I'll usually copy the PowerPoint file onto the Axim so that I can practice it on the way. Also, if you really want to, you can even get a decent sized memory card and use it as a voice recorder for quick notes and/or recording a lecture. And last, but not least, it helps for those "free ride" classes that you might be taking.....GAMES. :) There are many other things that I use it for as a student, but don't feel like typing anymore. =P

Tell the truth. I bought my first Palm on a whim. Cheap price on ebay. I used it periodically and at the very least did appointments and contacts on it.

I kept 'upgrading' untill the Axim. I think that this is the best unit I have had so far. Now it is one of those things that if you forget it at the house, you turn around.

You are very correct, sir. :D

I'd be lost without the thing. It holds my life together!

Except if you want to play DOOM during a class DONT. The game has a seperate volume and by the time you get to the volume adjuster you hear all these shotguns and stuff and it is really loud and everyone looks at you........ :hide:
