Please advise X30 or X50
I mainly want to use mine for the following:
1] Schedule/Calendar
2] Contact List
3] Excel - record expenses on the go
4] Digital wallet - keep images to show people
5] WiFi access to email if I can ever figure out how it works and IF it works with Adelphia WebMail and not Outlook.
I'd like bright colors, with good resolution, although I think the VGA screen is beyond my budget.
Two years ago I got a X5, then gave up on it. Now my expectations are a bit more refined, and realistic I think.
All advice helps.
Thanks.

I have been very happy with my two X30s.I do not watch movies or play many games.I use basically the items you have on your list. The X50V is a great machine but for what I use a pda for it's just not necessary.

Either will fit your needs... it seems to boil down to storage-- an x30 can only accept SD cards, while an x50 will take both SD and CF. The entry level x30 and x50 dont have wifi, so be sure you stay away from those models. The x50s also have more internal storage.
Here's a good Wiki on the line.

Hands down I would take the X50v every time. I'd even take it over the X51v. Trust me. Go with the X50v. You won't regret it.

Thanks everyone. One more ? please
These all sound like good choices. I am looking at eBay, and hoping to get a
50V, but if it is beyond my budget, was wondering if the 30 comes with WiFi?
I am still not even sure if I can use WiFi the way I want to. Would like to go places
which are WiFi enabled and get email, but have NO clue how to do that. Not sure
if it would work with my Adelphia Webmail or if I must use Outlook to be able to do that. Any thoughts on this aspect of it?
Thanks.

the x30m and x30h both have wifi, when it doubt just make sure the one your buying on ebay has the black nub on the top right (when looking at unit), I am sure you can get a much better deal on an x30 then then x50.
I am not sure what adelphia webmail is but usually you can set up outlook to get mail from most any service, and if not you can always access it directly through pocket internet explorer
with the amount of hotspots out there having wifi comes in handy alot
good luck on your purchase

With a hotspot you would be able to check you email via web or POP... take care to leave a copy of the messages on the server so that when you get to your desktop you can keep them there.
I always keep my email on the server regardless... no matter where I'm checking my mail.. PC, Axim or a shared machine I will still be able to see all my messages.
x30's aren't going to win any beauty pageants-- I think the design is blocky and downright ugly... but it's a capable device.
