Calendar Sync

Hey all...

New here with an Axim X50v that works seemingly quite well and have never had a huge need for support, but recently, everytime I sync, the dates are right, but the start times are an hour ahead.

Now the time on my computer is correct in both the systray and on the Outlook 2003 start time. The time on the Axim matches the time zone I am in which is the same as my computer. Its just moving the start time on the Axim to an hour ahead. I can't help but think that this is something rediculously easy, but I am stumped.

Welcome to Aximsite!

Try going into your Clock settings (Settings - System tab - Clock & Alarms) and make sure you are on Home time (not Visiting).

Thanks Gigi...

I thought it was that as well, but it all lines up correctly. I put it in my Outlook at a specific time, but after a sync, it shows up on my Axim an hour later than it shows on my Outlook which does not change.

I almost missed a flight over this!

Usually this is due to daylight saving time settings. DST should be set to automatically change on the PC and you need to have the same time zones set in Start, Settings, System (tab), Clock & Alarms. For example, there are currently two GMT-5 zones in the US, Indiana (which does not observe DST) and Eastern US (the rest of Eastern Time that does).

[Note: I understand Indiana is going to start observing DST (maybe they did this year?) and I suspect the PC will get an automatic upgrade from M$ to reflect this but it will require a ROM upgrade on the PPCs or people will need to actually change their zones to the Eastern time on all the equipment.]

YAHTZEE!

Thanks Ikehiker. I knew that this had to be something simple. I just could not find it.
