When I charge my Axim X30 in the USB cradle, it starts off amber. This changes to green when charged but, after approx 12 hours left untouched in the cradle, changes back to amber. Why? Should I leave it in the cradle??

Your X30 is always using some power to maintain Main Memory, clock settings, etc. (If you leave it uncharged for long periods of time, even if unused, the batteries will drain and it will do a hard reset, wiping out your data/settings saved in Main Memory.) If you always want to keep it charged up, just keep it on the cradle.

Thanks - should I be concerned that the indicator light changes back to amber when left in the cradle or is this normal?

If it's still in the cradle charging, the indicator light should remain green. Check your connections/contacts to make sure they are secure.
