I bought an extra battery, should I just leave it in the cradle
constantly?
Same question for the Ax itself, when you aren't using it, just
pop it in and leave it, reguardless of charge status?

You can leave it in the cradle. The battery is "smart" and won't overcharge... Same with the Axim...

No, there is a computer chip in the battery that keeps it from getting damaged. I leave mine in the cradle...
