Complete Noob need suggestion.

Hi all,

I just placed an order for X50 (520MHz). This is the first time im entering the arena of PDAs. Im really unsure if i made a good decision with the Axim X50(520MHz). What do you guys say? Was it worth. Im expecting it to arrive in 2days,very excited too.

Also would appreciate if you guys could help me with some info about things i could do with my Axim, like can i configure it to use GPS?? Do i need additional hardware for it?.
What is the maximum capacity memory card i could use which would work give a good performance?.

Any other related info would be appreciated as well.

Regards,
Max

Yes, you do need additional hardware (and software) to use the X50 for GSP. There are a lot of options but I think you'd be best served to read through some of the posts in the GPS Forum.

I'm not sure a 'maximum' has been identified for memory cards on the X50.

People here on Aximsite have gotten 4GB SD cards and 8GB CF and Microdrive cards to work with their X50's.

P.S. You did a good thing. My X50 is really solid. 19+ months now.

i also recently bought teh x50 mid for my x50 low replacement... iw ish i had been able to buy the x51 mid instead of the x50 mid..... it is okay, but i would have reccommended the x51 mid because it is better with wm5.... but you may not want wm5. so, good if you dont like the new os, but bad if you do...... i hope you know what i m talking about.... sorry if you dont

welcome...
