Worried YES! My Axim 400 arrived!!! Now what?

Ok guys I need some pointers.

Before I start using my new PDA, I need to know what mistakes you did that I need to avoid.

Such as charging, syncing and so on.

Well, if it is your first PPC, they you need to know how to close the programs. Especially if you converted from a palm. On the palms, the programs close automatically when you go to a different program. On the PPC, they stay open so you can multitask. I have found that almost all new PPC users don't close the programs, thinking that the Red X closes the programs, and end up with their Axim messing up.

To close programs, go to Start/Settings/System then click on Switcher Bar. This will give you a handy menu up between the Start and the clock. You can tap on the icon with an arrow pointing up, and one pointing down, and that will give you a list of running programs, and allow you to close them from there.

If you have used PPC's, and know all about this already, sorry for wasting your time.

Buy some screen protectors before you use it to much...

I started to notice some itty bitty scratches on the glass after just a month or two of use...Nothing to big - Just little surface scratches...So I ordered some screen protectors and started wrapping my Ax in saran wrap...

Also - Make sure you let your batter charge for all the hours they recommend...I didn't and I think it too some of the longevity away...

Otherwise...Have fun with your new toy... :)
