I have yet to purchase the screen protectors (they seem sort of expensive...) for my Axim, but sometimes, I don't like for it to happen, but fingerprints are on my Axim screen. It can become a little irritating at times and makes it look dirty.
What do you guys use for cleaning the Axim screen?
Any suggestions that will not mess up the screen?
Why don't you use the free ones (transparency film cut to size) until you can afford one. Be careful about using any liquid on the Ax screen as it can get where you don't want it to be. Premoistened wipes (soft) are one way to go.
Look around. I was in Cir City the other day and found Fellowes WriteRite protectors for $5. They are for hp Jornada 520,540 series and could not be a better fit, perfect.

But $5 is fortunately within my budget:)
Yes, i ordered those and are using them now. lol They come with 3 pages of transparecys which is enough for about 18 screen protectors (6 per page).

And they ship quickly. I had mine within a week of ordering them. I haven't tried them yet, though.
Just received my free 3M transparancies today, and they took less than a week to arrive. Haven't tried them out yet, but I have been using the homemade protector recipe since I have had my Axim... no problems at all. I will probably never buy a commericial screen protector for the Ax.:p
Forgot to mention that I also use the Fellowes "Perfect Clean" Optical quality cloth (approved for PDA's). I got it at Staples, and it works really, really well. Fingerprints come off in one swipe and it will take care of any dust on the screen as well.
Thanks, that sounds like a great idea and I think I will try and buy one of those, those 3M screen protectors are great too. Where can you get them at?
