I've been using my Axim for almost a month and I think it's just incredible for its spec and price. I also used the Linksys CF wireless card to connect to the internet. However I do have some problems as follow

1. Is our Axim compatible with Javascript and flash? Since I cannot go to some websites and I found that there are some area or bottons at which I can't tap (click) on.
Although I have installed the flash player but it doesn't play the flash file immediately when I logged on some web.

2. Is it possible to play a stream movie by using Axim. I have the real one player but again it just can't play the real time movie which means I need to download the file into Axim and play it later.

Thank you for any reply

I just found out that I can't post any message on this board by using the Axim. Is it something usual?

Im wondering is this because im using the cradle or because my Axim doesnt open up multiple browsers or what? I would like to know also because if i cant do that kind of stuff i wont get the modem. Quinn -

To access the internet while in the cradle, look in ActiveSync on the desktop and check the "pass-through" option (go to "Options" and click on the "Rules" tab). Select "The Internet" in the drop-down list and also make sure on the Axim that you have selected the same choice in your Connections screen (START - SETTINGS, then tap the "Connections" tab).

As for those having problems accessing certain sites or features of those sites, there are a number of issues to be aware of.

1) The pocket version of IE does not allow opening multiple browser windows. If a site is configured to open a link in a new window it will not work on your PDA.

2) The pocket version of IE also does not support newer HTML and scripting commands. It is compatible with IE 3.2 (which is old) rather than support the same features IE 5 or 6 support. If a site is developed to use these newer capabilities, your PDA will not be able to execute them. For example, this site uses some JavaScript code that does not work on pocket IE.

3) Some web sites detect the version of browser you are running to deliver specific content for that browser. The pocket version of IE returns IE version 3.2 to these "browser detection" routines. You can alter that and "trick" some web sites into letting you in, although you may still be faced with commands that do not work. Check for instructions on altering pocket IE in the tutorial on this site at:

Also you can go to:

http://www.google.com/wml

with Pocket IE. It will convert any page you search for into WML which Pocket IE can read. IE on you desktop won't be able to reak WML so it will try and download the link, but Pocket IE will read WML and you will be able to view any webpage.

There was some program I saw somewhere that allow you to use two Pocket IE windows, but I can't remember the name of it.
