Help!! Just Bought A Dell Axim X51v

hello all!! Newbie here..
Just trying to get movies to play on the dell.

problem 1 : The files are VLC media files (donwloaded video files). I have tried using pocket divx encoder (which is great, BTW) to encode the files for pocket pc and have now become 300 meg files which all looks normal. However im tryin to now get the files over to my compact flash card via usb cradle but active synch takes ages and i have selected the option not to convert file as its already done

Problem 2: the pocket mpv that i downloaded seems to be freakin out and wont play

recommendations on movie players? and how can i bypass active synch to move files onto compact flash card??

1) transfer the files using a card reader, not through activesync... much faster
2) use TCMP as your media player

The only way to bypass AS to put files on CF is to use a card reader. Also, TCPMP is great for movies. There's now a commercial version called Coreplayer, but TCPMP remains one of the best and most popular free media players available.

Invest in a card reader...they're cheap. Use it to transfer larger files.

I use TCPMP to view movies. http://picard.exceed.hu/tcpmp/test/t...pc.0.72RC1.exe

I see we all agree :)
