Gmail Problem, need help asap!!

Hey all. I've tried the tutorial to set up gmail and I encounted a problem. I keep getting this error message:

The incoming mail server cannot send or recieve messages at this time. Try again later.

I have been getting this message for 2 days.

Also, when I was setting it us, there was no option for the SSL

This is a used dell axim 5 with pocket pc 2002. The internet does work on it.

I really wanna get this up and running before I leave for vacation.

Please help!!

i tried configuring my gmail account on my x51v while i was online via wi-fi, not Activesync, and it went smoothly... can now send and receive thru pocket outlook and flexmail.
