Got my new x51...have lot's of questions

Ok. So I test drove my new x51 that I have been playing with. I have lots of questions and have done lots of searching; some I think I have found the answers to (but would appreciate confirmation) and others that I can't find answers for: Help would be very much appreciated:

1) Minimizing programs (.e.g. Pocket IE): I think I need third party software for this (several seem to be out there such as Magic Button (freeware) or several commercial products such as iLaunch, Rescoe etc.

2) Shortcuts on Today page: Again, I think I need third party software for this (several seem to be out there such as cLaunch (freeware) or several commercial products such as iLaunch, Rescoe etc.

3) Backlight: the Backlight turns off on me if I don't touch the screen for a few minutes. I know I can configure the power button to toggle the backlight on off (which will be great when I decide I want to dim the screen), but is there a way to stop the 'auto dim' for example when I'm reading info on the net in Pocket IE but not actually touching the screen.

4) Auto start: Is there a way I can auto start certain programs when I turn the x51 on.

5) Power off: I understand that the power button puts the x51 into standby so that it's quick to startup next time. I also understand that the power button can be configured to do a full power off (i.e. not standby). Is there a way I can configure the power button to do both or assign 'full power off' to another button?

1) The X only minimises, you actually need Magic button etc to close programs.
2) Yes
3) you can change the backlight timeout in power settings.

I'll leave 4 and 5 for someone else.

Be sure to check my #1 sticky thread in this newbie area or the link in my sig below for solutions in closing programs, adding shortcuts, etc.

For mapping buttons, etc., you just need to play with the Axim settings to see what will work for you... (Start > Settings > Buttons) and (Start > Settings > Power > Power Button)

#4 yes, assume you mean turn on from a true power off (or soft reset).
since this is a window system, you would expect a startup folder

just put a shortcut in that folder.

#5 no. (it would be nice, but no).

I find if I turn the power off using the powerbutton, I can't turn the system back on right away... it takes a few secends. if I got impatient, and start pressing the powerbutton. WSOD (white screen of death) will show.
I use psshutxp program to do my shutoff now.
