Hey, the past couple days when I load up my axim 300mhz it takes a little bit before I can load up anything. And now even more frequently the touch screen will basically flip. As in if I touch the top right side of my axim it brings up the keyboard. But then most of the other touch screen doesn't work when it does it. Also I can't get my sync to work!

Also, 2 days ago for most of the day it would tell me that the program doesn't exist or it couldn't open it. Then yesterday for one of the programs it said I didn't have enough memory. I got very worried because I was trying to backup my data onto my laptop but couldn't get it to work. So then I just copied everything to my 256mb cf memory.

Can anyone help?

seems like a hard reset is in place... there might be some software incompatibilities that causes this... try the hard reset, if that doesnt help, u need to contact dell (hope u still have warrenty on your axim)

Some screen issues similar to what you describe are caused by screen protectors working their way under the edge of the screen causing continuous pressure which prevent other entries. If you aren't using a protector, there could be a bit of dust doing the same thing. I've suggested that people try using a plastic toothpick to gently scrape around the edges to see if you can remove anything. I repeat, be gentle. You don't want to wedge something more under there or scratch the screen and cause more problems.

As for the slow load. Do you have a "My Documents' folder on your CF card? If not, PPC has placed an 'ignore_my_docs' file on the card which means the Axim searches the whole card looking for documents, especially if you have a program like Pocket Word or Excel running in the background and looking for files. If you think this applies, use File Explorer or any other file manager you have installed to create a My Documents folder on the card. Then delete the ignore_my_docs file.

Actually I do have a screen protector. Brando to be exact. Sometimes my gf pushes hard on it while she is playing solitaire so could it be from that?

I do now have a my documents on my cf card, but that was because it was the only way I could backup my info so I just copied everything on my axim on to it. It was doing the slow load before I put any info on there if I remember right or maybe I had a picture on it. I guess I will have to try it without the card in. I'll also check out that ignore my documents.
