Question Moving Files

My fellow Aximites have been helping with my other questions so here is my next Newbie Question:

When I download a file from my PC to the Axim and I want to move it from, say my CF card, to My Documents or somewhere else I have one "dell" of a time getting the file to move. What is the simplest way to move files around on the Axim and from a SD card to CF card? Thanks.

The easiest way for moving files in general IMO is to sync and open two windows with the Explore function on the PC. Then you can drag between folders.

To do it strictly on the Axim, use File Explorer to 'cut' the file from the original location and then 'paste' it in the new one. I really recommend using a different file manager than the one that comes with PPC2002. I use Advanced Explorer which is pretty nice freeware and a lot of people love Resco File Explorer which is payware but has a lot of good features (especially if you plan to network your Axim to your PCs).

Finally, for doing the sd to CF move, a faster and easier way than either of the two above is to get a card reader that can read both types of memory cards.

I say open up AS. In that, use Explore. Open up each directory and drag and drop from one to the other.

Other way is to tap/hold-copy then go to the target directory and tap/hold-paste.

I know there is a dual directory application for this but I forgot its name off hand. It was freeware as well.
