Is there a way to disable the buttons on the face so that only the small power button can be used to turn on the display? When I try setting one of the buttons to <None>, the button does not do anything but it will still turn on the display if it is pressed.

Go to START - SETTINGS and tap the "System" tab at the bottom. Then select the "Power" applet and tap the "Control" tab. Remove the checks from the boxes at the bottom. This will disable the buttons from turning the unit on when one is pressed. This feature is independent of whether the buttons are mapped to any programs or not.
