More Space on the Desktop

Can someone help me to get rid of (or at least hide) the bottom toolbar on the desktop (the one that has "Calendar" on the left and "Contacts" on the right., so that I don't have to scroll the icons in the center of the screen? Thanks.

i dont think that can be done. its part of the WM5 OS. i could be wrong.

However "Wisbar advance desktop" can do something that makes use of the full screen. ie. no start bar and "bottom bar". and then you can embed today plugins on it. it is kinda like pulling your left ear by moving your right hand behind your head though.
