Through the Infrared of the Axim, can information be shared or synched with other devices? I've posted this question now to several PDA message boards, and my wife called Dell, and we've had conflicting answers (or no answers). We have a Clie (Palm OS) and my wife and I would like to be able to share information between that and the Axim (or we would get rid of the CLie and get another PPC device if that's the only way to share info)... Stuff like Datebook entries, phone #s, alarms, etc. Can that be done? I realize that Palms and PPCs are different systems, so I'm guessing no, but some people have indicated that you can beam some info between Palms and PPCs. I imagine that if we wanted to play a game together utilizing different devices, that they'd have to be on the same OS, right? But what about sharing other information?

If anyone can answer that question definitively, and elaborate a little, I'd really appreciate it.

well, u can exchange some info between different devices... example... i have my axim, and i have a nokia 7650 mobile phone... i can beam my pictures from my phone to the axim, but not the other way around... so, its basically just try...if your lucky it works....;)

I have beamed Contacts, Address's, Apts and Alarms between my Palm M500 (now dead ) and My brother-in-law's I-Paq. He ran PPC2002 and had a little program that enabled the transfer with the palm. The program was called Peacemaker by Conduits Tech

I've beamed contacts between my old V35 Viewsonic PPC (PC2002) and a Palm V, as well as a Palm Tungsten T without the use of third party software.
