Pictures on Axim

Can anyone suggest the ideal size and or pixel rate in order to view pictures which will fit on the screen but aren't fuzzy?, Full screen, my pics look great, but I have to scroll to see the whole image.
Thanks
Keith

What are you using to view them?

You can use Resco Picture Viewer that you can find on the CD that came with your Axim.
Another good free picture viewer is Dava http://www.dicesoft.com/product/dava_intro.html

Well so far I have tried Dava, pocket beholder (seems more readable than ones with more features), and Resco. So far none has delivered as well as I had hoped. I think I will have to experiment with different resolutions before I put the stuff on the Axim.

The resolution of the Axim screen is 320x200 (or is it 200x320?), so any pictures viewed at full screen will automatically be as clear as possible if at this resolution. The Resco picture viewer has an option to change the size of images so that they are matching this resolution.

Do you resize them before you put them on the Ax or do you do it as you load them on the axim?

Either way, it doesn't matter. Resco Picture Viewer lets you resize on the Ax easily. You can do it permanently or just for when you're looking at it (the normal file size will be retained.) Look under Settings --> Optimisations --> Memory Optimisation for temporary conversions and under Photo --> Photo --> Convert To... --> Resize To for permanent size changes.

By the way, I made a mistake, the screen size of the Ax is 320 x 240.
