Hi,

After reading such positive reviews i have decided to buy an Axim. I purchased one yesterday evening (sunday july 6th) but i have yet to recieve any email confirmations etc.

Should i expect a posted letter or phone call?

Any ideas btw i am in the UK.

You should get an e-mail, you might also get a letter at some point...I've had both in previous orders, but the letter came after my ax.

If you e-mail Dell they will give you a order no. and customer no which means you will be able to track your order over the net...assuming you purchased on-line the numbers generated by the website do not allow for tracking...hey that's dell for you, but the ax is great...so we have to make allowances.

Oh, and once it's started it's journey from Ireland you should get a call from the courier to arrange a delivery date, but they won't give you a time, and will only delivery to your credit card address, which can be a pain.

All i got when i purchased was an internet order number!

but i can't use that to track the order

When I ordered my Axim I did it on a Saturday night and didn't receive any notice or confirmation from Dell until the following Monday morning. Perhaps the confirmations don't go out until the beginning of the 1st business day following an order received after hours or on a weekend. I wouldn't get too worked up unless you don't hear from them by the end of their business day today.

If you e-mail you will get the numbers you require...you could call but why waste your time...Jackeo's right....sure there won't be a problem...dell seem a little slow at the moment, probably due to all the wm2003 stuff....but if your keen to track, e-mail is my advice - I did and worked for me!

Yeah the waiting is awful, then you gotta charge the thing...but at least there's aximsite in the meantime!
