After I installed several programs in my desktop and Axim, the desktop PC keeps resetting itself after I put the PDA in its cradle and the sync starts. It seems to me that some of the programs I installed (softtext's word) are in conflict with activesync. Tried remove some programms fro my desktop and upgraded activesync to version 3.6. No luck so far. The sync works fine when the PDA syncs to another computer.

What do you mean by "reset?" Is your PC rebooting, or is Activesync somehow resetting itself?

I mean desktop PC reboots itself (shuts down and restarts) as soon as sync starts. So the sync never get done. Axim functions properly.

I've found the cause of my PC rebooting. A 30 day evaluation version of a virus scan software called PC-cilin conflicts with activesync 3.5/3.6 and reboots my desktop PC everytime when sync starts. Everything works again after I removed pc-cilin from my PC. Based on what I've experienced with activesync, I tends to avoid running virus scann and firewall with activesync at the same time. Zone alarm and pc-cilin may cause you trouble to sync with axim under certain conditions.

Good work. I knew that Zone Alarm messed with activesync, but didn't know that PC-cillin would actually shut it down. Learn something every day!
