a02 vs a03 and backup restore

Ok guys I need a little help here.
I recently got a axim x5 advanced. I noticed it had ROM version a02 installed. I also noticed that ROM version a03 is available. Is is necessary for me to upgrade? What are the differences between a02 and a03.

Next to that I got another question. Acitvesync has a nice backup and restore feature. But I am wondering what it actually backs up.
If I would make a full backup. Than flash my ROM from a02 to a03 and than restore my backup. Would my a02 ROM be restored or just the RAM?
Does restoring include my agenda, contacts, notes etc?

Thnx in advance,

Trax

You don't really HAVE to do the A03 upgrade. There are some things that are adjusted with A03 that wern't in A02, but I doubt if anyone really can tell a real difference. I would, and did, though just to be sure.

As for the backup, it backs up everything on your RAM, nothing on the ROM. It does include all contacts, notes, etc., as well as your settings, such as which items you have in your Start Menu. If you do the upgrade, you will have to connect using Activesync as a guest instead of setting up a partnership the first time in order to get the backup to work though. So just remember that when you go to restore.
